Here at Students4Planet, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a more sustainable place for all. Our youth staff work with teachers and educational institutions to implement more comprehensive, interdisciplinary climate education. Through an easy-to-use submission system and the resources we provide, Students4Planet can help YOUR school implement better climate change education.
Founder and Manager
Rachel Sutin
Rachel S is a teenage climate activist living in New York. She got started with climate activism after taking environmental classes in 3-5 grade. Over time, Rachel began to see discrepancies between the reality of climate change and public perspectives of climate change, especially in her own town. Like many other activists, Rachel shut down after realizing the reality of our situation, but slowly began to turn that paralyzing fear and anxiety into action. Today, Rachel works with local school districts on implementing New York’s interdisciplinary climate education standards. Since climate education isn’t effective when it only targets people who are interested in the movement, Rachel believes that climate education should be accessible to the full ideological spectrum. Aside from her activism, Rachel loves learning the electric guitar, hiking, and listening to music.
